York is the name of a town in Livingston County, New York. It is located around thirty miles southwest of the City of Rochester. , the town’s population was estimated at 3,400. Taking the road eastbound will bring you to the neighboring village of Avon and shortly thereafter, the Genesee Expressway (I-390). The US-20 is mostly laid straight and passes a number of farms. Taking the US-20 west, brings you into the Buffalo suburbs. NYS-36 runs north - south through the center of town. It passes through the hamlets of York, Retsof, and Greigsville. Intersecting with NYS-36 in Greigsville is NYS-63, which runs east-west. Taking the NYS-36 brings you directly to the neighboring Village of Geneseo.
