Wyoming County is a county in New York State. It is located in the Western New York region. It is bordered by Genesee County to the north, Livingston County to the east, Allegany County to the south, Cattaraugus County to the southwest, and Erie County to the west. The most northwest part of the county is twenty five miles from downtown Buffalo.
Wyoming County was formed in 1841. It contains sixteen towns and has a combined total population of approximately 39,800 (). The county covers about six hundred square miles. Agriculture takes up most of the county land. The county is known for its dairy farming.

New York State Route 19 (NYS-19) is the county's main north and south bound road. It passes through the eastern half and intersects US-20 in the village of Warsaw. NYS-19 leads to Silver Springs and Gainesville as well. Taking NYS-19 south into the neighboring county, Allegany, will eventually bring you to I-86 (Southern Tier Expressway). Heading north on NYS-19 will bring you to I-90 (New York State Thruway) in Genesee County.
